Day 1: Transfer/ Panoramic Tour (or Half Day)
Arrival to Lisbon.
Panoramic of Belém Area: World Heritage Jeronimos Monastery (church only) and Belém Tower, Monument of the Discoveries. Transfer to Hotel Overnight Lisbon
Day 2: Full Day Sintra/Cascais/Lisbon
After breakfast drive to Sintra – World Heritage Old Town (visit Pena Palace and free time in Sintra). Drive to Cascais, through the most western point of Europe and Guincho Beach. Stop at Cascais and free time for leisure and lunch. Return to Lisbon and visit Alfama (Cathedral; Portas do Sol Viewpoint and Alfama).
Overnight in Lisbon.
Day 3: Lisbon/Coimbra/Porto
After breakfast drive to Coimbra (visit University and Biblioteca, walking Tour to Cathedral, Santa Cruz Church and old neighborhood close to it). Free time for lunch in Coimbra. Drive to Oporto – World Heritage Old Town (Visit the Old Stock Market, Saint Francis Church and Cathedral).
Overnight in porto.
Day 4: Porto/Braga/Guimarães/Porto
After breakfast drive to Braga (Walking Tour in the old town and visit the Bom Jesus Sanctuary. Drive to Guimarães – World Heritage Old Town (Lunch and visit old town). Drive to Porto and visit (wine cellars and Ribeira Quarter).
Overnight in porto.
Day 5: Oporto/Batalha/Óbidos/Lisbon – flight to Madeira
Drive to Fátima and visit. Short drive to Batalha and visit to the XIV century World Heritage Monastery. Lunch in Batalha. Continue to Óbidos, a small old town within its City Walls, that used to belong to the Queens of Portugal. Drive to Lisbon APT. Flight to Madeira (1h30min). Welcome at the airport by an English Speaking Driver and transfer to Hotel chosen.Arrival Transfer from Funchal Airport to Hotel,overnight.
Day 6: Pico dos Barcelos/Eira do Serrado, half day
Free morning for leisure at Hotel. In the afternoon half day tour, with visits to Pico dos Barcelos, and another viewpoint of Eira do Serrado. On arrival at Eira do Serrado, it is a short and easy walk up to the viewpoint on Pico do Serrado for an amazing view down onto the village of Curral das Freiras, which nestles in a deep valley, as well as views across of some of Madeira’s highest peaks.
From here you will travel through the hills to Monte, the delightful picturesque hamlet situated above Funchal, well-known for it’s Twin Tower church, beautiful public gardens and the thrilling toboggan run (sledge). Rounding off this delightful excursion, visit to a local embroidery producer, followed by a wine taste.
Drive to Hotel and O/N.
Day 7: Full Day Western Madeira
Pick up at hotel and visit to western coast of Madeira. Visits will be made to the fishing village of Câmara de Lobos, Cabo Girão (second highest sea cliff in the world), Ribeira Brava, Paúl da Serra (Madeira’s unique plateau) and Porto Moniz which is famous for its natural sea swimming pools. Free time for lunch. The return to Funchal will be made through S. Vicente and Encumeada, Known for its look-out point that’s permits the view of both south and north coasts of the island.
Drive to Hotel and O/N.
Day 8: Full Day Eastern Madeira
Pick up at hotel to visit the north-eastern coast of Madeira. Visits will be made to Camacha, important wicker-work town, Pico do Arieiro (one of the highest points of the island) and Santana (famous for its typical houses). Here you will have lunch. The return to Funchal will be made through Portela with its fantastic view over the northern coast and Penha D’Aguia (Eagles Cliff). The town of Machico will deserve a special stop, being the bay where the discovers of Madeira first landed.
Drive to Hotel and O/N.
Day 9: Half Day City tour: Botanical Garden and Cabble Car
Pick up at the hotel and half day tour to discover some of Funchal highlights, its beautiful market and then visit Botanical Garden. From here, cable car ride, that will take guests until Monte. Transfer back to the hotel.
Free afternoon for leisure or shopping. Overnight at Hotel in Madeira.
Day 10: Transfer to Funchal airport and flight back to Lisbon (1h30min).
